Who is Jacapo di Poggibonsi?

Questioning is an important part of being an active and independent reader. Now more than ever, forgeries and plagiarism are becoming a huge problem, as it is so easy to make photocopies, steal music from the internet and photos from websites without giving credit. Jacopo di Poggibonsi was a famous painter and sculptor who made his name and his career by stealing from other artists.

Using the website listed below, what facts can you gather about the life and times of Jacopo di Poggibonsi?

Copy and paste the following website from the University of Michigan:

http://www.umich.edu/~engtt516/jacopolife.html

This assignment has two parts:

Part 1: Gather information from the website about Jacopo di Poggibonsi. (3 paragraphs)
-Who was he?
-What was he famous for?
-How did he achieve his fame?
-What extra information can you include?
-What do you think about Jacopo di Poggibonsi and his methods?

Part 2: What changes would you make to improve the website? (2 paragraphs)
-What is good about the website as it is?
-Would organizing it in a different way make it easier to understand?
-Would you change the colors or the fonts to make it easier to read?
-Add any other changes you might make.

At the end of the second period your findings and analysis should be posted on the blog for a grade and for response from fellow students.

1.He was Jacopo di Pogobonsi, an artist and plagarizer.
2.He was famous for his(plagarized) paintings 3.achieved his fame by being a plagiariser.
4.he went to Florence to cinnini at the age of thirteen for 10 years and she was his teacher she taught him art and urge to make him train his artistic abilities and then at age twenty two he started to plagiaris Lippis work. Then he continued to do so.
5.That he was in a relationship with a man called benetto
6. I think that was bad that most of his life was plagiarising and he should not copy other peoples work. We think this because Lippi worked hard on his work and jacopo didn't.

part 2

1.I would put his self portrait on the top instead of the bottom.

2. this website is good because it gives a lot of imformation about jacopo. Also because it includes many of the pieces of arts that were his(plagarised)

3. No this way is fine, but i would incluide a few more details.

4.No its fine

5.I think it gave good information and the font was fine and it was well organized, but i would include a real picture(if possible) oj JAcopo and Benedetto.MAybe even of Lippi and Cennini

4. he made his career by plagirism.
5. Even though i sometimes use his method i still think its wrong because the other person worked so hard to finish and acomplish what he wanted to do for no reason, just so someone else could copy and not think of an idea them selfs and being lazy.
